within this seemingly idyllic life, has already emerged from the darkness of the cosmos, the malevolent extraterrestrial entity known as the Voids

In the year 2203, the world, a heavenly place, is now plagued by malevolent entities known as the Voids. Their chaotic, incomprehensible colours have thrown everything into disorder. To combat this threat, the multinational conglomerate NIX Corporation, with its diverse range of industries, has formed the Stargazers—a group of both humans and evolved beings with extraterrestrial abilities called Quasars. Their mission is to restore order into their once was slate-grey world.

Felix, a new recruit to the Stargazers, is on a personal quest to find Starling, a girl who saved and profoundly changed his life when he was a child. Her existence is shrouded in mystery—no one knows where she is, or if she even exists. As Felix searches for her, he faces resistance from unknown forces determined to keep her hidden.

Along the way, Felix befriends his fellow recruits: Tetsuo, who works at NIX Bistro; Eva, the top graduate who secretly wields more power within the NIX Corporation than Felix realizes; Lucy, a part-time security guard with mission of her own; and Victor, a pioneer seeking the truth behind the world’s origins. Together, they unravel secrets that could reveal the true nature of their reality and the forces shaping it.

In the depths of an abyssal void, a suffocating silence reigns—absolute and unbroken. No light. No sound. Only stillness, pinning me in place, sightless and unmoving, swallowed by isolation and the unbearable weight of my frozen being.

Where am I?

Falling... splintering into oblivion. I yearn to breathe, to draw air that no longer comes.

Am I dead?

Confusion coils around me as I struggle to make sense of this place—of myself. What happened? How did I arrive here? Yet through the disarray, sensations begin to stir, ghostlike, drifting across my awareness as I float, untethered, lost in a void without anchor.

Am I alive?

Let me live.

The thought echoes like a prayer in my mind—a desperate plea to reclaim the electric thrum of existence, to feel again, to be. I am alive.

But... what am I?

Time becomes a warped abstraction—eternities flickering by like moments. Then, suddenly, a spark erupts in the darkness. Streaks of colour—vibrant, searing—flare and vanish at impossible speed, as though light itself were tearing through the seams of reality.

Author, Scriptwriter, & Art Director

Hello, and welcome! I go by the pen name Jean Holmes, and I currently reside in Thailand. I’m a passionate writer, an autodidact, and an avid explorer of fictional worlds. Without formal education, I’ve relied on online courses and self-learning to acquire skills that fuel my storytelling journey.

I draw deep inspiration from anime, manga, films, and TV series, all of which have shaped my creative vision. This passion led me to write my first original serial web novel, ÆnigmaVerse—a gripping blend of mystery, science fiction, and horror.
